Last day to leave: Pakistani nationals scramble to cross Attari border before deadline

Since the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India has made many key decisions to punish Pakistan. Due to the government's direction, the task of returning Pakistani nationals to their country is being undertaken at a speedy pace. A number of Pakistanis who are residing in numerous states of the country have gone back, whereas others remain at the border to return. After India's stern posture, Indians too are coming back to their homeland from Pakistan. More than 450 Indians have come back to their country at the Attari-Wagah border in the past three days.

How many citizens have returned till date?

On April 25, 191 Pakistani citizens and 287 Indian citizens, on April 26, 75 Pakistani citizens, 335 Indian citizens returned. On 25 April, 191 Pakistani nationals and 287 Indian nationals, on 26 April, 75 Pakistani nationals, 335 Indian nationals returned. At this moment as well, there is a massive crowd of individuals returning to Pakistan on the Attari border. Every Pakistani citizen is eager to go back to his homeland before the government ultimatum expires. This is why people are traveling in autos and proceeding to the border.

Last government deadline day

Pakistani nationals on visa will need to return to Pakistan via the Attari border by April 27. With these deadlines in mind, state governments are looking and deporting the Pakistanis in their region. Police are also being used to deport Pakistanis who are in Delhi, Mumbai, Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand.

Action will be taken once the deadline elapses

The search for Pakistani citizens has also grown stronger in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The central government desires that no Pakistani citizen remains in India after the preset time period, it is the duty of the police administration. Once the Government of India deadline gets over, the residence of Pakistanis residing in India will be termed as illegal. Thus, it is also evident that if a Pakistani is detected in India even after the deadline, then action will be taken.

Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Chief Ministers of all the states on Friday. He had already stated that no Pakistani citizen should remain in the country beyond the given time. This decision has been made after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
